Lock & Key
For the past couple of years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Lock & Key Design, capturing photography that showcases their stunning, handcrafted jewelry. Each piece, created by Nashville-based artist Tony Perrin, is one of a kind. The unique cuts, reflections, and colors of the stones make every design distinct, ensuring no two pieces are ever the same.
Working with Lock & Key Design is always a rewarding experience because Tony is not just a skilled craftsman—he's a true artist. He deeply respects his own craft and values the vision of other creatives, making every shoot a true collaboration. We both take an active role in shaping the look and feel of each session, blending our ideas to create something special.
Before every shoot, we use mood boards to establish an aesthetic and direction. We discuss lighting concepts, carefully select props, and refine details to ensure a cohesive visual story. There’s an energy in the creative process—watching everything come together to highlight his work in the most beautiful way is something we both genuinely love.
What makes these collaborations so fulfilling is the shared commitment to artistry. Tony’s jewelry tells a story, and my goal is to capture that narrative through photography. It’s not just about showcasing a product—it’s about conveying the craftsmanship, passion, and vision behind each piece. I’m grateful for the opportunity to document his work and can’t wait to see what we create next.
